Intel Pentium D 925 Processor HH80553PG0804MN
The Intel Pentium D Processor 900 Sequence features a dual-core design with
two complete processor cores that each run at the same speed in one physical
package, featuring Intel Virtualization Technology. Enabled platforms can run
multiple operating systems and/or applications in independent partitions or
environments for improved security and remote manageability. The Intel dual-core
processor is an evolution of Hyper-Threading Technology. Both enable a multi-threaded
experience for applications written to take advantage of multiple threads, but
dual-core processing brings more resources and computing throughput to the PC.
Dual-core processing allows for true parallel computing capabilities on the
desktop PC platform.
Note: A CPU cooling fan is not included with OEM
CPUs, but may be added separately.
The Pentium D delivers computing resources that expand the PC's capabilities
and provide platform-level advancements in the form of higher throughput and
simultaneous computing. Get the Pentium D processor & expereince outstanding
computing for the Desktop and Workstation.

THIS PRODUCT SHIPS IN OEM PACKAGING -
GO GREEN AND SAVE GREEN
Manufacturers sometimes offer discounts when large quantities of products are purchased without fancy, colorful, retail packaging. We take advantage of these opportunities to bring you the same quality, retail product at a lower price. Retail packaging is designed to look good on a store shelf and attract your attention. It frequently includes more paper, plastic and cardboard than needed. OEM packaging is not as visually attractive but is far more economical and because OEM packaging uses less paper, plastic, ink and cardboard it creates less waste and is better for the environment. Although OEM packaged product ships in a plain white or brown box you can be assured it is the same quality product as the retail packaged version. Buying OEM packaged products saves you money and helps save the planet…GO GREEN AND SAVE GREEN. Included accessories, software, documentation, and manufacturer warranties on OEM products may vary from retail versions. Please review our detailed specifications and photo gallery for included accessories and see below for warranty information.

I have had a bit of experience with pentium processors before but this thing is a beast. I overclocked it to 155% before the 8 inch desk fan I had cooling it couldn't keep up with the heat and had to back it back down. For the money this thing is just amazing. After building my pc with this processor I went to pcpitstop and they couldn't even benchmark it, it's that good. Buy 3 of them and put 2 away for later. You won't regret it.

Just built last night...Ultra Grid ATX w/500W Ultra V Series PSU, MSI P4M900M2-L Via P4M900 Socket775, Intel Pent. D 925 3.0Ghz 4MB Cache 800FSB Pressler Dual Core, topped w/a Cooler Master X Dream 4 CPU Cooler, Maxtor Ultra 300GB SATA showing 320.07 usable HD capacity, and a LiteOn LH20A1H Super-Multi 20x Lightscribe DVD Burner, Corsair TWINX Dual Channel 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667Mhz (2X1024MB), running Vista Ultimate 32bit. Nobody can say Vista is slower than XP anymore (the new hardware makes an extreme difference 2GB DDR2 minimum of course...that CPU stays at 60 degrees F. and system is under 100 degrees F. w/ a $10.00 cooler w/ best speed possible for the money! This baby screams and tested overclocking is very easy and cool, backed it back down as it is quite fast enough. Great CPU for the price Intel! I'll be back for more. (But remember 1 thing 20 on off cycles and those pins in the 775 CPU socket are pretty dead so leave the CPU on even if changing the silver thermo grease).

Bought for first ever computer build. Worked great. Hasn't max'd out yet. Bought bundled with EVGA nForce 650i Ultra Motherboard, combo worked great, just plugged everything together and works wonderful.
Best for the price. Works like my 2.2 Dual Core processor in my other computer, for less money.

I got this 3 months ago and it performs great! It's a true dual core that performs like a beast!! At this price, you can't go wrong. You can spend a lot more money and not get the work out that this does. What a great deal! Thanks!!
Heat Sinks - Many Shapes & Sizes!
A heat sink (or heatsink) is an object that absorbs and dissipates heat from
another object using thermal contact (either direct or radiant). Heat sinks
are used in a wide range of applications wherever efficient heat dissipation
is required; including for CPUs, Memory, Video Cards, and more.
Heat Sink Shapes Change!
Many products come with a Heat Sink, and some with a combination Heat Sink
and Fan. Keep in mind though, that manufacturers are constantly
improving the design of their cooling components, thus the shape and design
of the heat sink or heat sink & fan can change on any product at any time.
PLEASE NOTE:
Cooling Components Can Change At Any Time, And Do Not
Affect The Performance Or Specifications Of The Product.
How Do Heat Sinks Work?
Heat sinks function by transferring high temperature thermal energy (heat)
from one object (such as a CPU chip) to a second object (such as the Heat
Sink), which has a lower temperature, with a much greater heat capacity.
This rapid transfer of heat quickly balances the temperature of both
devices, lowering the temperature of the first. This is what makes a
heat sink a cooling device. Since room temperature is usually cooler than
the hot device, the Heat Sink helps cool the device, lowering its temp to
closer to room temperature.
The most common design of a heat sink is a metal device with many fins or
vanes. The high thermal conductivity of the metal combined with the large
surface area of the fins does the work to rapidly transfer heat to the
surrounding, cooler, air. This cools the heat sink and whatever it is in
contact with. Some Heat Sinks use the metal alone for cooling, some
use fluids (just like you car radiator) and a thermal interface material
(such as thermal gel) to ensure maximum heat transfer to the heat sink.
Adding a fan dramatically improves air flow, and improves the heat transfer
even more.
Remember The
Thermal Paste!
Remember that when you are adding a Heat Sink, you MUST USE
thermally conductive Gel or Paste, to form a good thermal contact between
the Heat Sink and the Device. Failing to use this will result in
reduced cooling, and possible failure and damage to the device!
