I have a Pentium 4 motherboard with an SATA interface built-in. I would like to replace my current two 32Gb hard drives with one or two larger capacity SATA hard drives. Will any SATA hard drive work on an old motherboard with an SATA interface, such as SATA-300 hard drives, or do I need to upgrade my motherboard due to compatibility issues. I am more familiar with SCSI compatibility. Question by rcarlsonherps See all rcarlsonherps's questions |

I have a HP Pavilion A1007W that has been updated to Vista and I would like to update the memory, RAM and HD on this along with a new video and sound card. I know it seems like a lot to do when I could purchase a new one but i am treating it as a hobby, any suggestions as to what products would work the best on this PC and maybe how high I can upgrade it to? I would go with the Toshiba USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive. Size from 160GB - 320GB. You can take them everywhere you go...There Pocket sized, which is pretty cool! You can pretty much go with any brand of external Hard drives, 2 things to focus on....Hard Drive Size, Amount of Cables to make it work!. Answer by William Posted 09/21/2008
